Keeping true to the ideals and aspirations for long term growth and sustainability for this fantastic organisation the team the project was a 3 year roller coaster of funding applications and negotiations over their forced relocation due to the South road tunnel works.
Amazingly @south_coast_shopfitters managed to deliver an amazing new premise that provides new opportunities and an expanded roles for the team in wonderful and joyful way. It was amazing to see the team hard at work delivering such important projects for SA kids. Well done to all

A quick site visit to check on progress on our Greenhill projects- but a not so quick post about being safe on the roads.
The Tour Down Under starts tonight in the city. It’s a super exciting time for cycling enthusiasts like me. And thousands of others. It’s a huge generator for SA and the regional towns it visits.
And so yes - a few more cyclists are in the roads than normal. And that can cause some frustration for car drivers. I get it.
But a car driver being delayed by 1-2mins will not end you up in hospital or worse. Today I had to ride to site as other family members needed the car. That’s fine. I need the excercise. I went the “safe way” up the Crafers and expressway and over Mount Lofty. It takes longer, is harder and slower but it’s a well used bike route and no as difficult to pass as Greenhill Rd- which I really avoid riding if I can.
Today a motorist slowed down (deliberately I think) to pass within 20cm of me as I road up Mt Lofty Rd. I was as far left as I could safely get, had lights on and there was nothing coming the over way. It was safe to pass with ease leaving the legal 1.5m from my bike. But they chose to make a point and try to seriously injure me. If I had hit a twig or leant slightly left I’d be in hospital now.
Perhaps it was accidental but it really doesn’t matter. With more cyclists on the road I’m asking people just to be a bit more careful for the next week. Leave a little bit earlier if you are driving a route well used by cyclists. And if they are behaving badly (some cyclists do) just take a breath and let’s try not to hurt anyone.
SA already has one major event ruined this week by poor decisions. Let’s not make it 2 in 2. Send a little love to you Lyra clad brothers and sisters. ❣️
